by SpeedLux

Ram has revealed the 2014 ProMaster at the Chicago Auto Show.

Exactly similar to the Fiat Ducato, the ProMaster is a custom-built cargo van that has been developed to suit fleets and business owners. The van is highly adaptable as it can be equipped with high and low roofs as well as wheelbases that measures 118, 136 and 159 inches.

While the model’s configuration isn’t that mindblowing, but the van features clam-style rear doors that open 260°. Options include dual sliding doors, a WiFi hotspot and also an available chassis cab configuration.

To begin with, there are two engines on offer. The entry-level model has got a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that develops 280 bhp (209 kW) and about 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque. There is an optional 3.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine which cranks out 174 bhp (130 kW) and 295 lb-ft (399 Nm) of torque.

The Ram ProMaster will be built in Mexico and will enter production during the later part of 2013.
