General Motors sales in China increased 12 percent year on year

General Motors vehicle sales in China increased 12 percent in August from a year previously to 328,425 units, after a 6.3 percent increase in July, automaker stated on Tuesday.

The automaker’s January-August sales amounted to 2.38 million vehicles, a 0.3 percent gain from the same duration a year earlier.

The sales figures come on the heels of reasonably strong sales numbers reported on Monday by Honda Motor and Toyota Motor.

Honda stated its sales in August boosted 20.6 percent to 128,671 automobiles, where as Toyota’s sales volume of 108,500 vehicles increased 13.2 percent ahead year-on-year.
