6 injured after car plowed into pedestrians in Brooklyn

Six people were injured on Friday afternoon after a car jumped the curb in Brooklyn and plowed into pedestrians on the sidewalk, officials said.

The multi-vehicle accident took place just before 1 p.m. at Flatlands Avenue and Flatbush Avenue in the Flatland neighborhood, according to the officials.

Three people were admitted to area hospitals for serious but non-life-threatening injuries and three others for small injuries.

It was not clear how many vehicles were involved in the crash or how the accident took place.

The NYPD did not immediately have any further information.

NYPD and EMS personnel were helping with the investigation. Initial reports show 5-6 people require medical attention.
