Car crash results in deaths of two drivers near Pickering, Missouri

Two died and one was injured following a car accident on Wednesday evening about one mile south of Pickering, Missouri.

The two-vehicle crash involved a Chevrolet Traverse with four occupants including three juveniles, and a Ford Fusion which was driven by a 17-year-old.

30-year-old identified as Tiffany Piveral of Hopkins, the driver of the Chevrolet, and the 17-year-old female driving the Ford, who was from Pickering, were both killed in the crash. A 9-year-old female was seriously injured in the crash, while two males ages 8 and 11 had non-serious injuries. 

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Piveral crossed the center line while driving on MO-148 and struck the other vehicle. 

Both drivers were pronounced dead on the scene.

The 9-year-old was flown by helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Omaha. Piveral was the only person involved in the accident not using a seat belt.
