Two killed after car crash near Heritage Road in Chula Vista

Two people were killed after a car crash on Olympic Parkway in Chula Vista, California on Sunday.

Officials responded to the two-vehicle crash around 10:00 p.m., near Heritage Road.

The crash took place when one of the involved cars was speeding and it struck another vehicle, sending one of the cars flying off the road.

Upon arrival, officials found one vehicle engulfed in flames, trapping two occupants inside. Emergency crews extricated them and pronounced them dead at the scene.
