Two killed after single-car crash on I-95 in Nash County

Two people were killed after a car crash on I-95 in Nash County on Sunday morning.

The crash was reported around 9:20 a.m.

The crash took place just before 7:30 a.m Sunday, when a 41-year-old driver identified as Latron K Williams traveling on I-95 south bound near the 132-mile marker.

After that, he went off the road to the left and hit several trees in the median.

Both the driver and the 41-year-old passenger identified as Katie Jo Brainard Janta, were pronounced dead at the scene.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol believes that speed caused the crash.
