Two people killed after car crash in East Peoria

Two people died after they were hit by a car in East Peoria in Illinois on Sunday night.

Officers were notified of the crash at the 3800 block of N. Main St. for reports of a personal injury car crash at about 10:16 p.m.

When first responders attended the crash site, they discovered that two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle.

The vehicle was still at the crash site.

Both pedestrians suffered deadly injuries.

The investigation was carried out by the E.P. Police Department, Illinois State Police, and the Tazewell County Coroner.
