Three people were killed after a head-on car crash on Interstate 80 near Davis on Sunday morning.
It was at approximately 3:10 a.m., when an Infiniti sedan was traveling the wrong way eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-80, and it hit a Hyundai sedan head-on.
Both drivers and one passenger in the Infiniti died in the crash.
Those who died in the crash include a 31-year-old Fairfield woman, a 30-year-old Petaluma man and a 27-year-old Fairfield woman.
Their identities haven’t been released yet.
Two other passengers, including a 31-year-old Sacramento man, in the Infiniti had significant injuries and were admitted to UC Davis Medical Center.
The incident caused the closure of several lanes on I-80.
The crash is being investigated by California Highway Patrol.
