And now we have a Bugatti Veyron, made of solid gold and encrusted with exquisite diamonds. If this does not indicate wealth and that too snobbish display of wealth nothing else can indicate so.
Its officially called the Bugatti Veyron Diamond Limited Edition and if yet it does not cross the line for obscene display of wealth, it for sure comes close to actually crossing it. Why? Because its made up of 24-carat gold and platinum. And that’s not all for it has also been adorned with 7.2 carat single cut diamonds.
The Veyron has been scaled down by a ratio of 1:18 but would still be a true functional car, which means the doors and hoods can actually be opened and closed while the steering moves both ways with a matching sideways movement of the front wheels.
It is the handiwork of Munich-based Robert Gulpen and Stuart Hughes from Liverpool, the designer duo and creators are known in the world of luxury designing.
Just three editions of this exotic piece of automotive art is going to be made and would command a sale price of a cool £2 million or €2.4 million.
