A digital proposal called Alfa Romeo Krantasy has surfaced online, presented as a personal take on what a modern two-seat sports car could look like. The project is unofficial and was brought into focus by car.design.trends, with the work credited to designer Shawn, known online as sianghen_h, a member of the IED Torino team.
The idea behind the car is simple at first glance. It is built around the notion of a shared experience between two people. The designer frames it as a barchetta concept shaped by references to classic Italian models, while also tying the project to a more personal inspiration linked to his partner. That perspective drives the rest of the concept.

Instead of focusing on performance or specifications, the design leans into interaction. Influences are drawn from both motorsport and fashion, with cues taken from haute couture accessories. The central theme revolves around proximity. The driver and passenger sit close, almost as part of the same space rather than two separate zones.
The cockpit follows that direction. It is semi-open, with a seating arrangement described as sofa-like. The area can shift into something more enclosed through a sliding canopy. It changes the atmosphere rather than the layout. Small detail, but it matters.

One element stands out more than expected. On the passenger side, a bouquet of flowers is integrated into the design. It is not decorative only. The intention is for it to release fragrance into the cabin.
The driver interface takes a different route. The steering wheel uses a yoke-style shape, paired with a digital cluster embedded within it. Despite the modern setup, the display is styled to echo traditional gauges.
From the outside, the car follows a low, wedge-shaped form. The inspiration comes from open-top racing prototypes, including those without a conventional windshield. Gold-tinted glass surfaces appear both ahead of and behind the cockpit, blending into the overall shape rather than standing apart.

Aerodynamic details are present, though handled in a stylized way. Winglets sit behind the front wheels and incorporate visual cues tied to Alfa Romeo’s identity. The stance is defined by large wheels and a profile that rises toward the rear. A red and black two-tone finish completes the exterior.
Inside, materials shift again. Velvet trim is used, and the concept allows for personal signatures from the couple along the cockpit sides. It reinforces the theme, even if it feels unusual at first.

There are no technical specifications attached to the project. It remains a design study. Still, the idea of a silent dual-motor electric setup is mentioned as a better match for the concept than Alfa Romeo’s 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 used in current Quadrifoglio models.
The Krantasy stays in the realm of design exploration. It does not try to solve anything. It presents a direction, then stops there.
