American Express has revealed a special Porsche 911 Carrera S Centurion Edition in Hong Kong in celebration of the Centurion’s 10th anniversary.
American Express Centurion members shall exclusively have the opportunity to avail the car. The American Express card holders would have the opportunity to buy the great sedan at a price tag of HK $ 2 million, which works out to about US$ 256,000 or € 210,000 as per current exchange rates. However, only three lucky card holders will actually be able to buy the car at this price thought the orders are opened until July 31, 2010.
The three new lucky car owners of the new Porsche 911 Carrera S Centurion would also apparently help UNICEF and the children around the world because the American Express would be making a donation each of the three cars sold by the company.
The limited edition Porches 911 features a brand new set of 19-inch wheels along with outer door-sill guards made of stainless steel carrying the “Centurion From American Express” logo. The interiors of the the limited edition sedan feature black leather, Alcantara, carbon fiber and “Carrera S Centurion Edition No.1 of 3″badges on both front door panels.
There are no under the hood improvements as the same 3.8 liter boxer engine have been used in the new super car. The 308-liter boxer engine is however, capable of delivering 385 hp at 6,500rpm. The engine is installed with a PDK i.e. Porsche-Doppelkupplung gearbox to further improve the cars performance. The sedan is capable of picking up the speed from 0 – 100 km/h or 62 mph in just 4.3 seconds with a top maximum speed of 300km/h (186mph).
