2011 Dodge Charger with Police Package caught in Detroit

by Alex

The 2011 Dodge Charger sports car was on its way out of Detroit Airport. Coincidentally a member of the “Cheers and Gears” forum was present there at that time. So even though the car was cloaked, yet the member did recognize the car under the guise and clicked some photos of it. There are spotlights on either side of the windscreen that to right above the exterior mirrors. This suggests that maybe the car being tested is a police version of the car.

The current Charger may have heavy claddings to conceal the details of the car though previously snapped spy pics does tell us about the new snout of this car and the more pouched out as well larger in size cross-hair grille. There is also a more chiseled style of the car as well as the head and tail lights been reshaped.

There is a chance that interior of the 2011 Charger would also undergo a lot of modifications with higher grade material being used for this purpose.

The engine is expected to be the new 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 from the Chrysler Group. The power is to be 280 hop or more. There is also news that with a 5.7 liter Hemi V8 a new 6.4 liter Hemi V8 should be pushing up the power to 480 hp.

End of the year is when we could expect the new Dodge to be out in public view.
