Ferrari may come out with a four-door coupe

by Alex

If we could recollect the past, sometime ago the chief executive of Ferrari Amedeo Felisa had said in an interview that Ferrari will never have four doors and we will stick by it to continue to keep this tradition. However, this seems to be a thing of the past since in this ever evolving trend & volatile market it has become almost next to impossible to stick to a permanent resolve.

There is one thing which is permanent and that is change, so to subtly say CHANGE IS A PERMANENT phenomenon in today’s market, and Ferrari is no different. It has plans to expand its line-up with a new model that will take on models like Aston Martin Rapide and the future Lamborghini Estoque.

Although Pininfarina has already imagined a future four-door coupe and Ferrari would make a final decision soon. Until then, the Italian company is intending to unveil a surprise at the upcoming Paris Auto Show.

The future four-door coupe, if built, will be based on the replacement of the 612 Scaglietti, slated for 2012. The offerings of the 612 include enough interior room for a second row of doors and rumors suggest that the future model will be built in limited numbers and will offer wealthy customers an alternative for the other four-door coupe models on the market.
