Mercedes-Benz SL and Toyota Solara drivers most prone to receive Speed Tickets

by Alex

It is a well known fact that the angriest drivers in Britain are those who drive in a BMW. Speeding ticket and motor vehicle insurance claim details received from the US however indicates a different trend.

It is the Mercedes SL driver in the US who is more prone to over speeding with the Camry Solara Driver in its Coupe and Scion Tc variants that come in second rank for the over speed ticket receipt. This study was carried out by Quality Planning, a division of Verisk Analytics Inc.

There is also the Pontiac Grand Prix which finds place in the list albeit at the lower end for one has to scroll down to see this surprising entry.

The top ten ticket collectors of the lot are the SL, the CLS63, and the CLK63, and the Camry Solara/Coupe, Scion tC, and xB. Mercedes and Toyota make cars therefore can be concluded as holding quite a few top spots in this ranking. Mercedes’ spokesman Robert Moran says in defense of its speedy vehicles, “These are fun-to-drive cars, and sometimes people have a little too much fun enjoying them.”

The SUVs have been the least ticketed for over speeding, though the Hummer H2/H3 variants of this genre have figured in the list of being ticketed. The Buick Rainier is the car that has been ticketed the least as per this report.

If one is unable to restrain one’s own natural instincts when sitting behind a car’s steering wheel it is better to select the Buick SUV, for the car would help in restraining the wild and rash personal instincts while driving.
