The all new 2011 Porsche Cayman CS

by Alex

Porsche had been looking for something to be placed in between the 911 and the Boxster in the year 2005.The 911 is a legend amongst cars and the Boxster too had similar popularity amongst car lovers. The task for Porsche was therefore even more difficult as they had to come out with something comparable. It was therefore the Caymen that they delivered.

The Cayman was first launched in 2006 and is a derivative of the second generation Boxster convertible. The front of the car though looks like the 911. Cayman the name comes from the reptile caiman which is an alligator.

The second Cayman lot was introduced on February 21 of 2009. In this model the power had been improved and the transmission system also has been replaced to give better performance figures. The car can do a 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. There is one more new version of the Cayman that is coming to the Los Angeles Auto show.
