Today the all-new 2011 Hyundai Elantra has been launched at the 2010 Los Angeles Show. The car now comes with a fluid design, the same kind used on the new Tucson and Sonata. This means a new hexagonal grille, new tail-lamps, and a new interior. The car will be powered by the new 1.8l four cylinder engine that develops 148 BHP and 131 lb/ft of torque.
Because this engine will be mated with a six-speed automatic transmission, the car will capable of a very good fuel consumption: 29 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. A six-speed automatic transmission is also available.
On the inside, the car will feature solid materials and a very useful center stack which has a circular button that operates a few of the climate controls. The car also has leather, a power sunroof and heated front and rear seats as standard. Also as standard, the car offers ESC (electronic stability control) and 15 inch wheels. Optional, you can get 16 or 17 inch wheels. The entry-level model will be priced at $15,550, and the top model will set you back $22,700.
