That Nissan automobile would be coming up with the M35 hybrid luxury sedan has been announced by the Japanese automaker, Infiniti. The hybrid version would be released into the market along with the rest of the 2012 M models. For the Western European market though the company is coming up with a V6 model that is of the high performance variety. This market goes for a vehicle which gives good range given the high price of fuel. Also, in the automakers history, the hybrid vehicle would be the first of its kind ever to be lunched.
The hybrid M35 model has both a gas and electric power package. There is the engine which is a 3.5 liter V6 naturally aspirated model and the electric motor which is also equally efficient. The motor has a very unique function in that it boosts the V6 when selected to a power assist mode. This happens when the accelerator is pushed to the extreme. The motor also has a generator mode wherein it runs all the accessories of the car thereby helping in improving engine efficiency as such. The battery source for the motor is a Lithium ion battery pack and there is the feature of recharge when braking or deceleration also available on the car.
The car can also run on battery alone in which case it becomes a hundred percent emission free vehicle as well as giving a 100 percent fuel efficient mode of running. The Infiniti can therefore run in a wide array of modes.
Also, in a more recent development, the vehicle has finally made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The vehicle has a pedestrian warning system incorporated in it, one that will be audible to the people on road and is called Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians (VSP). Road users are forewarned of the approaching proximity of the vehicle through a series of audible sound. The system starts to work from zero to 20 mph and cuts back at 15 mph when the vehicle is slowing down. Sales of the car are scheduled to begin from early 2011.
