BMW sales in Q1 rises by 21 percent

Deliveries of the BMW AG models have risen about 21 percent to 382,758 units in the first quarter as per company announcements made recently.

Ian Robertson, the sales chief of BMW sis, “Sales volume of the year 2011 is expected to rise to well over 1.5 million units, a new all-time high, with the BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brands all achieving new sales volume records.” This was in keeping with the goal that the company had set itself and announced publicly at the Detroit Auto Show event.

Company sources also mention about a rise in the BMW brand sales which have gone up from 21 percent to 3321,175 units. Its main rival Audi therefore is now been pushed to second spot. For the first quarter the sales of Volkswagen AG rose from 18 percent to 312,600 units. A gain of 13 percent has also been registered by Mercedes Benz as a brand with the number of units delivered standing at 280,552 which makes the Daimler AG third by ranking amongst the premium car makers.
