The German brand BMW plans to refresh its lin-up with a new M3 model, which will be available only in Coupe and Convertible models. However, about two months ago we’ve shown a series of spy pictures that shows the new BMW M3 (internally called F80) as a four-door sedan and today we can show you some new spy shots of this car, in the same form.
The new M3 will be the first of the M3 versions to appear on the market in summer 2013. The coupe version will follow later on and will probably be named M4 since the new 3 series based coupes and convertibles are rumored to get the 4 series name. Anyway, there is still a long time until the M3/4 Coupe makes its debut so things may change until then.
If you’ll take a look at the photo gallery below, you’ll see that this prototype made its appearance with the wider fenders and the big air intakes in the front bumper. Big brakes and the quad exhaust pipes are other typical M features that we can see here.
Power is rumored to come from a turbo charged six cylinder engine this time, the unsure part is if there will be two , or three turbochargers.
Considering that the current model is priced at $55,900 – $67,550 and the upcoming one is will be more ‘hight-tech’, the 2014 BMW M3 will probably exceed the $70-75,000 limit. These are all the information at this time, but stay tuned for more in the upcoming months.
