2012 Porsche Panamera Hybrid – Pictures and Specifications

by Site Default

While most automakers in the world start releasing Hybrid versions of their vehicles, Porsche makes no exception. So it isn’t shocking that they decided to reveal their 2012 Porsche Panamera Hybrid at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

The hybrid version of the Panamera pairs a 333 horsepower, supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 gasoline engine, with a 47 horsepower electric one. Combined power comes to 380 horsepower and 427 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to this power, the Panamera Hybrid hits a top speed of 167 mph and reaches 60 in 5.7 seconds.

The fuel consumption is, naturally, lower than in the all-gasoline Panamera: it is expected to achieve up to 35 mpg combined.

The transmission comes in multiple variants. The 8-speed automatic one is standard, but there is also a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission available for both Europe and the U.S. Europeans also get to choose a six-speed manual.

The design looks like the one of a 911, but longer, in order to incorporate 4 doors.

The CO2 emissions are lower than the ones of any other vehicles in the Panamera’s class (luxury full-hybrid vehicles), standing at only 159 g/km.

The base cost price starts at $95,975, which is only $5,200 more than the V-8 Panamera S.
