2012 Dodge Charger SXT V6 – Photos and Info

by Site Default

This redesigned 2011 Charger now has an eight speed automatic transmission instead of the 5 speed one – and that’s about as far as major changes go. Of course, thanks to the three extra gears, the time to 60 is reduced by a little (this model now makes 6.7 seconds), but it is clear that the Dodge Charger SXT was not made for speed, but rather fuel economy. It hits a top speed of 114 mph, at only 2400 revolutions per minute in the eight gear, which makes for a fuel economy of 31mpg highway and 19mpg city.

The 3.6-liter V6 engine provides a power output of 292 horsepower (at 3605 rpm) and 260 lb-ft of torque (at 4800 rpm). This power is being translated to the rear wheel drive system through the 8-speed automatic transmission with a manual mode.

Because the 2012 Dodge Charger SXT V6 falls into the family sedan category (same category that is being commanded by German sedans) it also has to offer some luxury on the interior. The base price is $29,420, but this can dramatically increase by choosing all of the options (leather heated front and rear seats, rear anti-roll bar, Blacktop package, which also brings 20 inch wheels, a 506-watt system and a sport-tuned suspension).

This car is definitely not great, but it can qualify as good, and worth its money.
