Jaguar XF Sportbrake – Spy Photo

by Site Default

Due to be released at the Geneva Motor Show that starts in early March, the Jaguar XF Spotrbrake was caught on picture for the first time without any disguise. Although the picture’s quality isn’t as good as hoped, you can still make up the general design of this car, and some of its details.

This car has the purpose of competing with BMW’s 5 series, Mercedes’ E-Class, and Audi’s A6. The estate version of the XF will be Jaguar’s first estate since the controversial X-Type.

The rear lights’ configuration is similar to the one found on the saloon, and the front end seems identical forward of the B-pillars. There is also a small spoiler on the roof towards the back of the car. The exhaust system gets two large exhausts placed near the edge of the rear. The C-pillars are inspired from Jaguar’s XJ.

Jaguar’s only saying on this car is that it will be revealed in Geneva, but didn’t bother to give us any information on the engines, performance, price, fuel consumption or release date. We think the engine will be somewhere in the area of a 2.2-liter in-line four cylinder, or about the same capacity but with a V6. A V8 is also possible.

Until the Geneva event, that is all we know. Spy pictures can be found at the bottom of this article.
