You all know about Mini, it is a British automotive marque owned by BMW, which specializes in small cars.
Mini originated as a specific vehicle, a small car originally known as the Morris Mini-Minor and the Austin Seven, launched by the British Motor Corporation in 1959, and developed into a brand encompassing a range of small cars, including the Countryman, Moke and Clubman.
The original two-door Mini continued in production until 2000. Development of a successor began in 1995 and the new generation car was launched in 2001. The current Mini range includes the Hardtop/Hatch/Convertible, Clubman (estate), Countryman (crossover) and Coupe/Roadster.
Well today we are looking forward to MINI and its John Cooper Works division, which have come up with two hot new models. One is the MINI JCW GP and the other, the new 2013 MINI Countryman JCW. They are both powered by a 160 kW/218 hp turbo engine, but whereas the GP is a fast and agile hatchback, the Countryman is a rather versatile four-wheel-drive car.
Engine Specifications goes as,Mini says the JCW Countryman makes 211 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 30 hp and 30 lb-ft of torque over the Countryman S. An overboost function temporarily increases turbocharger output, upping torque to 221 lb-ft between 2000 and 5200 rpm. Also new for 2013 is an available six-speed automatic transmission, a first for a JCW model. With a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of 7.0 seconds – with either the manual or the automatic gearbox – and a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph) for the manual and 223 km/h (139 mph) for its automatic.
Fuel consumption figures are 7.4 litres per 100 km / 38.2 mpg imp (automatic: 7.9 l / 35.8 mpg imp) and CO2 emissions of 172 (184) grams per kilometre.
For such an output, The boost pressure of the twin-scroll turbocharger had been dialed up, and to handle the additional heat and pressure, the JCW engine receives a reinforced block and head stronger, low-compression pistons, sodium-filled exhaust valves, a larger intercooler, and changes to the intake, exhaust, and cooling systems. The BMW-sourced Valvetronic variable valve timing system,has been added to the JCW engine for 2013.
Despite the size of the thing – 4,133-millimetre long, 1,789-millimetre wide and 1,549-millimetre tall – MINI says the Countryman JCW maintains the brand’s go kart-like handling. The suspension system in this car includes a single-joint MacPherson spring strut front axle and forged cross members, a central-arm rear axle, Electric Power Steering with speed-sensitive power assistance, and extremely effective brakes with red callipers. While other Minis with the JCW kit are front-drive only, Mini’s All4 all-wheel drive is standard on the JCW Countryman and helps negate torque steer. All4 uses an electromagnetic center differential to route power to the front wheels under nominal conditions and up to 50 percent of torque to the rear axle when needed. The JCW Countryman’s standard sport suspension includes stiffer springs and dampers, and thicker anti-roll bars. Ride height is 10mm (0.39 inches) lower than the Countryman S and 18-inch wheels are standard equipment, with 19-inchers optional.
Talking about the looks of the car,Although the aerodynamic kit is subtle, it makes the JCW Countryman stand out,especially the lower rocker moldings, which lend the Countryman a sportier look. Mini claims the JCW body kit is for more than just visual impact,the pieces are designed to optimize airflow over and around the vehicle.

Standard specification are front foglamps, air conditioning, a run-flat indicator, electric windows front and rear, remote control central locking, the Centre Rail storage and attachment system, and the radio MINI Boost CD. Customers can also order their cars with all the comfort, functionality and individuality-enhancing options available for the other MINI Countryman models, a full complement of MINI Connected features and bespoke John Cooper Works accessories.
It is a complete race-inspired cabin. It features sports seats in Diagonal Track John Cooper Works Carbon Black cloth trim with red contrast stitching, and trim strips around the cockpit, door panels and centre console come in Piano Black.
Other features of the interior include sports steering wheel with red contrast stitching and John Cooper Works logo, the dark 260 km/h (162 mph) speedometer and rev counter dials, an anthracite-coloured roof liner, a gearshift lever with red shift pattern lettering, red contrast stitching for the gearshift lever gaiter, and floor mats with red stitching.
Well talking about the Pricing, no official figures are out, but it is estimated that the new 2013 MINI Countryman JCW will have a base price of $35000.
The MINI John Cooper Works Countryman will be built at the BMW Group’s partner firm Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik in Graz, Austria.
