If the Sources are to believed then, a Wagon version of the Renault Megane, will be the latest model offered to Australia from the French Manufacturer. Renault Australia confirmed that the Megane Estate, the name by which it is been called in Europe, will join the small-car range in the mid of 2013.
The new Megane will be offered with more of a choice to drive away with a petrol or diesel powering variant. Renault Australia says final pricing has yet to be signed off, so the new Renault Megane Wagon will start off at somewhere in the $20,000 bracket.
“The pricing will make it one of the best-value wagons on the market,” said Renault Australia spokeswoman Emily Ambrosy. He also added that “The Megane wagon represents an opportunity for us to further expand and grow our range in a relatively uncrowded but solid segment of the market.” “The wagon is a very practical and stylish choice for customers and we are confident that the introduction of this new vehicle will attract new customers to the Renault brand.”
As a standard feature, Reanult’s five-year unlimited kilometre warranty will be included for this new variant.
The new Renault Megane Wagon, at 4.56m, is longer than the hatchback, while with its 62mm-longer wheelbase, actually helps to create an extra 61mm of rear-seat legroom. Now with that there’s more boot space and a longer load length when the rear seats are folded. Along with all this, renault says that, there’s 25 litres of storage space in the rest of the cabin.
