The Subaru Forester has been unveiled in the L.A show, featuring a all new design with standard performance, including being comfortable and spacious.
The fourth generation of its popular all-wheel drive crossover SUV, the 2014 Subaru comes in with a bolder design and a roomier interior, along with improved performance and higher fuel economy. The five-passenger Forester features a 250-horsepower 2.0-liter direct-injection turbocharged BOXER engine in the lead, and some models coming afterwards will include a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter naturally aspirated BOXER engine. As a standard feature the SUV comes with, Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. As in the case of the Fuel economy the new Crossover SUV with the 2.5i models with the CVT achieves, fuel economy ratings of 24 mpg city / 32 mpg highway / 27 mpg combined, thanks to the new Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) system which contributes to a better fuel efficiency. The 2014 Forester 2.5i model will be available in base, Premium, Limited and top-line Touring versions. The turbocharged Forester 2.0XT will be offered in the Premium and Touring versions. The 2.5i models offer a choice between a new 6-speed manual transmission and the Subaru Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT).
As for the design, on the outside it clearly distinguishes itself from the others, featuring evolutionary design themes with sharply defined new details in an all-new body, its totally sporty with the front bumper along the one-piece mesh style grille and chrome-rimmed fog light bezels. The SUV is built on a new platform at a 0.9-inch longer wheelbase (now 103.9 inches), length has increased by just 1.4-inch, and width by 0.6-in. the car delivers sharper handling responses from a sport-tuned suspension with 18-inch wheels, and the 2.0XT also features larger brakes than the 2.5i models, with ventilated front and rear rotors.
Inside the SUV, it offers notable gains in roominess, particularly in the rear seat, where legroom is now 41.7 inches and maximum rear cargo area room with the 60/40 split rear seatbacks lowered is now 74.7 cu. ft., which is among the best in class. The available touch-screen navigation system offers smartphone integration with Aha smartphone integration features. The top-line Touring models come standard with the navigation system plus an eight-speaker, 440-watt harman/kardon audio system
The top of the line Forester models feature X-Mode control for the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Hill Descent Control and some of the new safety features include anti-whiplash front seats, a driver’s knee airbag, Brake Override and an impact-sensing fuel system cutoff. Using a stereo camera system developed by Subaru, rather than radar, EyeSight integrates Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Vehicle Lane Departure Warning.
Some of the standard features include rear vision camera and color multi-function display, and new features include a power rear liftgate with automatic close, Keyless Access and Start and the EyeSight driver assist system.
The 2014 Forester arrives in Subaru dealerships next spring. Details about the pricing are yet to be known, So stay tuned for more updates.

Please make sure your facts are correct before posting. The new Forester is amazing and should not be disrespected by publishing incorrect information.
1) The picture above is the SH (3rd) generation Forester (2009-2013), not the SJ (4th) generation this article purports to cover.
2) The NA and Turbo models are coming at the same time. Also, your article suggests that the NA engine is new – it’s the FB25 directly carried over producing the same 170hp/174lb/ft. It’s also incorrect at the moment to call it the 2.5i – that’s the JDM classification. In North America, it’s 2.5X or 2.5XT, followed by the trim level.
3) It’s not an SUV – it’s a Crossover (or CUV).
4) All models with the CVT will have X-Mode as standard equipment (not available on with the Manual Transmission), not just the “top-of the line” as you put it.
5) EyeSight is an option available, though it’s not yet released which trims will be able to get it – but both the NA and the XT models at the L.A. Auto Show have it.
6) The fuel economy for the XT has been cited to get 23MPG city, 28 highway (25 combined).
