2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition revealed in Chicago

by SpeedLux

Nissan has shown the 2014 GT-R Track Edition at the Chicago Auto Show.

Its Sale would be restricted to limited number of dealers the world over and this special edition of the GT-R will be reduced to only 150 units in the United States. Power will get boost from the same twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 VR38DETT engine emitting 545 hp (406 kW) and 463 lb-ft (627 Nm) of torque connected to a 6-speed, double clutch, paddle-shifted sequential gearbox changing gears ability in only 0.15 seconds.

This particular concept is different from the regular 2014 GT-R due the special brake cooling guides, stiffer suspension setup, front spoiler with carbon fiber air ducts, higher grip front seats and also the removal of rear seats which have been replaced by lightweight quilted cloth mat.

The Nissan GT-R Track Edition is equipped with a carbon fiber rear spoiler and sits on six-spoke forged wheels shod in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT high-performance run-flat tires filled with nitrogen. There are five colours on offer and they are all solid dark colours which will have a huge impact on the customers decision while selecting the colour specific car.

This concept is most suited for the racing track and it is not meant for city roads. It is likely to give a tough fight to its rivals and would be one of the top racing cars of our time.
