BMW has finally released several new pictures of an i3 sample undergoing testing in snowy weather.
There was no word from the company about the model but they validated that it recently completed an survival test in heavy snowy conditions. BMW also confirmed that test was successful and the i3 delivered a complete unique driving experience.
It has been already reported that the i3 concept has an electric motor with 170 HP (125 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. It allows the model to speed up from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, hit a speed of 150 km/h (93 mph) and travel 130-160 km (80-100 miles) on a single charge.
To pacify those having doubt over range, BMW will provide an i3 REx with a range-enlarging engine. It is likely to use a two-cylinder motorcycle engine so that the model can travel up to 186 miles (300 km) between recharge sessions.
So the pictures are out officially now let us wait till it makes its debut at one of the auto shows. we do not know when it will happen.
