Volkswagen has selected a glamorous and a unique way of launching its Golf GTI in the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in this month. The company has released a video recently which features Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ with the car in video obviously and is shot at Las Vegas strip.
The car comes with a petrol direct injection turbocharged engine (TSI) with 162 kW. But this time the company has decided to do something different in this also and offer a special and additional performance to the vehicle and it will be called as GTI Performance.
The engine’s power has been increased to 169 kW and both the versions of GTI have a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The GTI Performance model can accelerate to 100 kmph in just 6.4 seconds against standard GTI which takes 6.5 seconds. Also there is a small difference in the top speed where the new version has the top speed of 250 kmph against 246 kmph of the existing GTI model.
