Ferrari FXX Evolution at Imola

by SpeedLux

One of the car lovers, Marchettino, recently got a chance to ride shotgun at Imola in a Ferrari FXX fitted with the Evolution package.

Ferrari’s FXX experimental prototype received an Evolution package in the year 2007 which increased the output of the V12 6262cc engine by 70 hp (52 kW) which means the revised power is now 860 hp (641 kW) at 9,500 rpm. It enabled the super car to speed from 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) in just 2.5 seconds and comes with a top speed of 249 mph (400 kmph).

The car now weighs only 1,155 kg (2,546 lbs) and the time gap taken for changes in gear is just 60ms, which is lower by 20ms compared to the non-Evo variant. It rides on bespoke Bridgestone tires and it is also 25 percent more aerodynamic than the standard model which is mainly due to a different diffuser and active front spoiler control system.

We will have to say that the package is nothing less than interesting and it does spice up the already hot Ferrari model with increase in acceleration and top speed. Now let us see how the car lovers react to it and whether they like this new package or not.
