Ferrari has clearly denied the reports of a lucrative 2014 offer made to former team driver Kimi Raikkonen as “fantasy” reports.
But recently Ferrari’s communications boss Renato Bisignani told one of the Brazilian newspapers that the rumours are the typical fantasy in this period of rumours. He stated, “There is not the slightest foundation, we are united in this moment of loss of competitiveness and confident in the return to better ways.”
However Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport reports that Raikkonen’s manager Steve Robertson was spotted entering Ferrari’s motor home in Hungary recently to which also Bisignani replied that for the German journalists who called the company about the (Raikkonen) news, they had officially denied it.
We reported yesterday that there are chances that the Ferrari may give offer to the former driver following rift with Fernando Alonso, who is under contract through 2016 with Ferrari, but has been linked with a shock move to Red Bull.
In fact a Ferrari spokesman was even quoted elsewhere as insisting that rumours about Ferrari quite often turn out to be completely untrue. Well we will come to know the reality in some time and let us see who is true and who is bluffing.
