Infiniti Q30 Concept teased ahead of IAA reveal

by SpeedLux

Infiniti has recently announced its plans to launch the Q30 Concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show to be held in September.

The concept is considered to be a preview for an upcoming premium compact model which will continue the design philosophy started with the Q50 that got its inspiration from several concepts such as the Essence, Etherea and Emerg-e. The Q30 will be obviously placed below the Q50 as a more affordable and smaller alternative with a view to compete with models like Mercedes-Benz CLA and others in this segment.

In fact the Infiniti Q30 will be the first model that would be influenced right from the start by Sebastian Vettel who has been named the company’s Director of Performance recently. Not only that, it is also the first car created under the firm’s new design director Alfonso Albaisa who is describing the vehicle as being slender, sleek and seductive.

Infiniti’s entry-level model will allegedly feature a three-way adjustable ride height system and will most probably be built in Sunderland in UK. It is expected to be offered for sale in 2015 and use Mercedes-Benz’s front-wheel drive platform that underpins the A- and B-Class models.
