The company has official released the first pictures of the Peugeot 308 R Concept on the net, just ahead of its public debut at Frankfurt Motor Show in the coming month in September.
From the images, it can be seen that the concept has a more aggressive two-tone with red & black colors and it also comes with a beefy body kit with larger bumpers, side skirts, lowered ride height and massive double-spoke alloy wheels. The back of the 308 R Concept comes with a dual exhaust arrangement and a roof-mounted spoiler.
The company did not release any further details about the model and there is very limited data is available currently. Even the power details are not available but we can assume that the concept would come with the 1.6-liter THP engine which is also fitted in the stylish RCZ R coupe. The engine generates an output of 270 hp (201 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 243 lb-ft (330 Nm) of torque at 1,900 rpm.
The car looks amazing and the concept is worth seeing but with limited details we cannot comment much on it. However we expect more details to be out as the launch of the concept nears.
