Nissan 370Z successor confirmed as a preview concept for Tokyo Motor Show

by SpeedLux

Nissan has announced that it will preview the 370Z replacement at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show in November with a brand new concept.

The company’s development boss Andy Palmer also stated at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show that the car will be smaller and lighter but without any loss of power as compared to the 370Z. We can expect motivation to come from a smaller turbocharged engine, but there are quite bit chances of concept using an electric drivetrain.

The production will come fitted with a gasoline engine once it is launched in the next couple of years. As per one of the last year. According to a report the 370Z replacement is going to use a powerful four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline mill installed in a smaller and lighter car and it would have a much more attractive exterior body. The good thing is that in spite of the downgrading of the engine, the 370Z successor will supposedly continue to have just about the same level of performance as the current V6-powered variant.

Nissan might also reveal a sub-370Z model which could be a production variant of the 2011 Esflow concept with either a gasoline-electric hybrid system or an all-electric setup at the same show.
