The next-gen MINI has been spied yet again undergoing testing but this time wearing slightly less camouflage, ahead of a confirmed November 18 reveal.
The prototype was spotted in Germany and as there was lesser camo, we could manage to get some more details of this new generation model. It comes with features such as slimmer A-pillars and comes with a longer hood combined with a smaller front grille and enlarged headlights. Overall, the new MINI appears to be longer and wider than the outgoing model which means we can expect more space in the cabin.
In the interiors, the speedometer will be moved from the center area to the driver’s side which means the empty space left by the speedometer will be filled by a touchscreen display, as could be sen in the earlier spy images. We can also expect a lot of chrome touches on the dials, air vents and door-mounted speakers, along with a redesigned two-spoke steering wheel and a more spacious trunk.
The 2014 MINI Cooper S and JCW versions will apparently comes fitted with a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine producing 178 hp (132 kW) in the S variant and 217 hp (162 kW) in the range-topping John Cooper Works model.
