Several purported pictures of the Lexus RC F have surfaced in one of the car magazines of Japan.
Though the authenticity cannot be confirmed, the images suggest that the model will have aggressive front fascia with a prominent spindle grille that is flanked by large air intakes. We can also see that the car features a ram air hood, ventilated fenders and IS-inspired headlights, while at the rear, there’s an active rear spoiler and a four-tailpipe exhaust system.
Talking about the motivation, power will apparently be provided by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that would produce around 455 hp (339 kW) and 401 lb-ft (543 Nm) of torque. Despite being more powerful than the old 5.0-liter V8 in the IS F, the new engine is still expected to be more economical in terms of fuel consumption as it is expected to have a system of cylinder deactivation system that will turn off four-cylinders when the maximum power isn’t required.
Nothing has been officially confirmed about the Lexus RC F but there are rumors that suggest the model could be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show before being offered for sale next year in September.
