2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible gets explained by its designer

by SpeedLux

BMW has recently released a new promotional video for the 2014 4-Series Convertible and the same is expected to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Designed to usher in a new era of premium mid-size convertibles, the 4-Series Cabrio would replace the 3-Series Cabrio and also comes with a design that is heavily influenced by the 4-Series Coupe. As Domagoj Dukec explains, the model looks much sportier than the 3-Series and has a long rear deck that expresses the typical boat character of modern BMW convertibles.

At the launch event, the model will be offered with three different engines options that include:
• A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with output of 245 HP (180 kW) and 350 Nm (250 lb-ft) of torque
• A turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder mill rated at 306 HP (225 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque
• A 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel generating an output of 184 HP (135 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque

Well the model certainly looks much better than earlier versions and we expect it to get more attention and love from the car fans as compared to its earlier versions.
