Report : 2013 Spyker B6 Venator to use a Lotus-built engine

by SpeedLux

A latest report indicates that Spyker CEO Victor Muller has sent out a letter to its potential customers that confirms the company is partnering with Lotus.

As of now the details are limited but Autoweek.nl is reporting that the B6 Venator will use a Lotus-built engine that made from a Toyota-sourced block. Nothing is official as of now but the website says the car will likely be powered by the supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that resides in the Exige S. If this works out, we can expect it to generate an output of around 345 hp (257 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque.

The letter also indicated that Spyker will team up with Chronoswiss to offer a Venator launch edition to the first 100 customers. It will reportedly feature a turned aluminum dash with a Chronoswiss clock and come with a matching Chronoswiss watch that is engraved with the car’s production number.

The report also states that the company is accepting pre-orders for an amount of € 20,000 (approx $ 27,170 / £ 16,980) deposit and B6 Venator coupe production is slated to begin in November next year.
