TechArt prepares the Porsche 911 Turbo for Essen with styling and power kits

by SpeedLux

TechArt has recently prepared an upgrade program based on the latest Porsche 911 Turbo for the Essen Motor Show.

The exterior tweaks of the package include redesigned front and rear spoilers, as well as a rear diffuser and a roof-mounted spoiler. All of the new body parts are made from lightweight fiber composites of carbon and polyurethane RIM. Other new goodies include aero-optimized side skirts and a diffuser trim framed by stainless steel tailpipes featuring a dual oval tube design.

Inside the cabin they have prepared illuminated aluminum door entry guards and a three-spoke multi-functional sport steering wheel with paddle shifters. Other goodies include decorative stitches, carbon fiber appointments, foot rests and other similar bits and pieces to spice up the cabin.

TechArt has said that a power boost will also be offered very soon for the 911 Turbo which in its standard configuration comes fitted with a six-cylinder, direct-injection 3.8-liter turbo engine rated at 520 HP (383 kW). Output is transferred to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK. When fitted with the optional Sport Chrono Package, the 911 Turbo will be able to achieve the 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) sprint in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 198 mph (318 kmph).
