Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to bring the Touareg X to the United States.

Designed with the aim to celebrate the model’s 10th anniversary, the Touareg X is based on the Touareg TDI Clean Diesel Lux and comes equipped with a Moonlight Blue Pearl exterior paint with 19-inch Moab-style alloy wheels.

Talking about the interiors, the cabin comes nicely equipped with features that include Vienna leather seats, a black headliner and engineered ebony wood trim. Other highlights inside the cabin include piano black accents, illuminated sill plates and faux aluminum pedal covers. Besides the special touches, the model also comes packed with standard equipment that includes a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and GPS navigation.

Under the hood, power is provided by a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 engine that generates an output of 240 hp (179 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It is further connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system.

Only 1,000 units will be available in the United States and the pricing kicks off from $56,170.
