A latest report indicates that Mercedes-Benz is planning to launch the new C63 AMG late next year with a new V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine.
According to one of the car magazines, the new C63 AMG will be introduced towards the end of next year with a newly developed V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo gasoline engine. The motor is expected to generate an output of anywhere between 454 hp (338 kW) and 493 hp (367 kW). It will allegedly send the output through the familiar 7G-MCT SpeedShift automatic transmission, while the engine is expected to be implemented eventually in all future AMG models.
The C-Class range will be expanded in 2015 with the C300 Plug-In Hybrid that will get a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged direct-injection gasoline engine with an output of 249 hp (185 kW) that will work together with an electric motor providing an additional 67 hp (50 kW). This will take the combined output of the model to 316 hp (235 kW).
The details are limited as of now about the model and so we will have to wait for further details to be revealed for C63 AMG.
