Lexus‘ invitation to the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit has hit the web recently, providing preliminary details about the RC-F.
So far the company has released a couple of teasers for the high performance version of the all-new RC but they haven’t mentioned anything about its engine. But this firm’s NAIAS invitation which has surfaced the web recently has helped us to find out that the model will be powered by a V8 engine generating an output of 460 hp (343 kW).
The vehicle will quite likely adopt some LFA styling cues and is expected to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) sprint in just 4.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of about 186 mph (300 kmph). It will come with features such as a carbon fiber roof, hood and trunk lid that will help to reduce the weights as much as possible, while an LFA-derived speed-sensitive rear spoiler will be offered as standard feature.
Set to be showcased in January in Detroit in NAIAS, the 2014 Lexus RC-F will come with a base price of approximately 100,000 USD.
