An alleged image of the Porsche 911 Targa has recently surfaced online, ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January.
While we cannot confirm its authenticity, considering the fact that there appears to be a blurred out watermark and no reflective red strip running between the taillights. The image actually depicts an attractive sports car that harkens back to the original 1965 911 Targa. The overall designing also closely echoes the standard 911 but the notable features include a wraparound rear window, a distinctive B-pillar and a “movable center roof section.”
Engine options will likely carryover from the standard model and so we can expect choices to include a 3.4-liter six-cylinder with an output of 350 HP (257 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) of torque as well as a 3.8-liter six-cylinder rated at 400 HP (294 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque.
The 911 Targa will be unveiled soon at NAIAS on January 13th and so there is not much wait that needs to be done to know what exactly the model will look like and what features it will have.
