Cadillac has recently revealed some new details about the future lineup of the company.
Speaking to Edmunds, Cadillacs Senior Vice President Robert Ferguson said that he would love to have a diesel engine for all of the Cadillac models this decade. He went on to say that diesel engines would help to increase sales in Europe and would also help meet fuel economy standards in the United States.
When asked for further details, Ferguson said that a diesel engine would be a great fit for the Escalade as it was a great selling vehicle and it was also a big profit machine for the company, and so he was of the opinion that the more markets they get into, the better it would be.
The executive further said that it would be silly not to offer an entry-level crossover that would compete with likes of models like the Audi Q3 and Mercedes GLA. Ferguson declined to give details about the specifics but hinted that he would love to have a luxurious crossover that is roughly the same size as the Buick Encore. Well expect more details to be out about these diesel engines and models.
