The Felino CB7 was unveiled several weeks ago at the 2014 Montreal International Auto Show as a Canadian track toy that can be legally used on public roads.
Felino was established by Canadian racing driver Antoine Bessette and the first product is the CB7 which has been developed over the course of long four years. Under the hood there is a GM-sourced V8 6.2-liter engine outputting 525 hp (391 kW) and 489 lb-ft (662 Nm) to the rear wheels through either a 6-speed manual or sequential transmission. Talking about dimensions, the vehicle is 4.2 meters long, 1.9 meters wide and 1.1 meters tall and tips the scales at just 2,500 lbs (1,134 kg).
Performance figures have not been published but the acceleration to 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) will be done in around 3.5 seconds. The Felino CB7 rides on an independent suspension with double wishbones on both axles while stopping power is provided by six-piston front / four-piston rear brake calipers with standard 355mm steel discs or optional carbon ceramic discs.
Featuring gullwing doors, the CB7 sits on 18-inch alloy wheels and utilizes a carbon fiber body which doesn’t seem to be half bad from the front and sides but the weird rear looks kind of sad and fat.
The model is expected to come with a starting price that would be below 100,000 USD.
