Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce the T-ROC concept at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
Designed to give a “glimpse at future Volkswagen SUVs,” the T-ROC is a three-door crossover coupe with a removable roof. The concept also features a Blue-Splash Metallic exterior paint with a three dimensional grille that is flanked by LED headlights. Other highlights include gloss black and aluminum accents, LED daytime running lights (that double as turn signals) and 19-inch alloy wheels. Talking about dimensions, it measures 4,179 mm long, 1,831 mm wide and 1,501 mm tall.
Details about interiors were not provided but it comes equipped with four leather-wrapped seats, Blue-Splash Metallic trim and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The concept also has a removable tablet that acts as an infotainment display.
Under the hood, power is provided by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TDI engine outputting 184 HP (135 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. It is mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission and a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system which enables the 1,420 kg (3,130 lb) crossover to accelerate from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in 6.9 seconds while going to hit a top speed of 210 kmph (130 mph). In terms of fuel efficiency, the model averages 4.9 L/100km (48 mpg US / 57.6 mpg UK) and has CO2 emissions of 129 g/km.
