Daimler, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz and Maybach, has just revealed the prices that customers will have to pay for if they ever want to drive home the new Mercedes-Maybach S500 or S600. Both of the aforementioned vehicle models will start their sales from tomorrow onwards. They were introduced during the recent automotive exhibition events that took place at Los Angeles, US, and Guangzhou, China.
For the flagship Mercedes-Maybach S500, customers will have to take no less than 134,053 Euros out of their pockets. Yet, if they opt to pay even more, 187,841 Euros, they will even be eligible to take home an all-new Mercedes-Maybach S600. Taking into consideration that the order books for both of the vehicle models will have been open by tomorrow, there is no need to wait even further for those who are really serious about making a purchase on either of the aforementioned vehicle models. Yet, for those who prefer to have a Mercedes-Maybach S500 with the 4MATIC transmission, there is indeed some more time to wait.
Under its hood, the Mercedes-Maybach S500 packs a 4.7L V8 bi-turbo engine. Mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox, the car offers 455 hp of power and 700 Nm of torque. For the S600, it has a 6.0L V12 twin-turbo engine, making it capable of outputting 530 hp of power and 830 Nm of torque. The latter comes with a 7-speed automatic transmission.
For those who order their S500 or S600 starting from tomorrow, they will have their car shipped starting from February 7, 2015. Yet, as for the 4MATIC version, as mentioned earlier, it will come a bit later, likely in April 2015. Also, taking into consideration that the S-Class from Mercedes-Maybach is all about luxury, it needs no questioning that the luxury German automaker has rolled out the AMG variants of these vehicle models already.
