Is there any chance you are looking forward to the next generation Audi RS5 coupe? If so, you are in for a treat. The USA branch of the luxury German automotive brand has officially taken the veil off the company’s RS5 coupe for the 2015 model year. The vehicle unveiled is the Sport Edition of the model and is designed by the Audi Exclusive. Needless to say, the vehicle is bound to come with several changes compared to its predecessor.
First of all, for the exterior, customers can now choose either the Nardo Gray or the Daytona Gray paint job. The car will also run on a set of 20-inch bespoke alloy wheels that come with red brake calipers. Of course, there are some new changes on the car cabin as well. Now, owners of this sports vehicle from Audi will receive a body color trim, contrasting stitches and door panel inserts in the Crimson Red color and also Black or Crimson Red sports seats wrapped in the leather material.
In terms of performance, the car is equipped with a 4.2L engine with eight cylinders arranged in the V configuration. This engine is powerful enough to deliver 450 hp of power and 429 Nm of torque. Mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission, the engine sends power to all wheels that the car has. It also utilizes Audi’s typical Quattro technology. Thanks to such engine configuration, the car needs no more than 4.5 seconds to go from a complete standstill to hit the 60mph mark on its speedometer. As for its top speed, Audi has limited the coupe to only 280 km/h.
If you are looking forward to enjoying the drive on the Audi RS5 Coupe Sports Edition, you will have to rush your way to your nearest Audi dealership. Thing is, this is a limited edition model and Audi will only build 75 examples of it. According to the Audi USA, the car will have its price tag starting from $87,575.
