The 2015 Volkswagen Golf R was actually previewed already back in November 2014. Well, now, another bit of information has occurred and it is about when potent customers can start booking their example of the aforementioned vehicle model from VW. The luxury German automaker has officially announced that the preorder book for the vehicle will start to open on January 8, 2015. According to the German company, that is just before the official sales of the vehicle start. However, in order to be entered into the preorder list, customers will have to place a deposit of $500. There is no need to worry, though, as this deposit is completely refundable.
If, for some reasons, customers change their mind and decide not to purchase the next generation Golf R anymore, that will be completely fine. In this case, customers who have passed the 500th position in registering for the preorder will have their names bumped up accordingly. Yes, that’s right, there are only 500 examples of the cars that customers can possibly book during the preorder period. Yet, if that is the case, what will these preorder customers get as a benefit then?
For the very first 500 examples of the 2015 VW Golf R, all customers who have preordered the car will be given the luxury amenities available only on the top trim of the model. These amenities include an exterior painted in the Lapiz Blue Metallic color, a premium audio system from Fender, Cadiz-style 19-inch alloy wheels, 6-speed dual clutch DSG gearbox, satellite navigation and also a Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) system.
In addition to all the luxury amenities mentioned above, these preorder customers will also have the privilege of receiving accessory kits that are individually numbered. These kits will include a VIN-specific certificate, stainless steel keychain, carbon fiber and even a special watch with the company’s R badge.
