It is no longer a secret that the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is going to kick off in Detroit in just a matter of days. With that being said, most car enthusiasts out there should not be surprised to see automakers revealing more and more of the vehicles that they are going to bring to one of the world’s biggest automotive exhibition event. Nissan, an automaker from Japan, has now officially teased its upcoming Titan model. The car is featured on the Japanese company’s second iteration of its Truckumentary video series.
In the video, viewers will get to meet Rich Miller of Nissan. Here, the guy talks about those who have so far contributed to the design, development and evaluations of the company’s upcoming pick-up truck model. Unfortunately, though, Miller has successfully managed not to reveal too much about the upcoming vehicle model.
Nevertheless, the guy in the video does disclose that the Nissan Titan for the 2016 model year has been designed with durability and strength in mind. He also points out that the vehicle boasts a turbocharged 5.0L V8 Cummins diesel engine. Miller claims that this engine will be able to deliver a peak power output of 300 hp besides a peak torque of 744 Nm. According to Miller, this is ideal to offer owners of the vehicle an optimum performance while at the same time ensuring fuel efficiency.
As can be seen on the video released by Nissan, the company’s 2016 Titan will sport a large pair of headlamps, a lot of chrome trims and also a considerably massive front grille. Other features to expect include a tailgate that has been integrated with an aerodynamic rear spoiler and also a front bumper that comes with a rounded design.
