The Range Rover Evoque is one of the best cars lying around. However, it is not offered for a low sum of cash. Yet, in spite of its rather expensive price tag, there are quite a decent number of people that are actually willing to spend their hard earned cash on the model. Taking that into account, now the luxury British automaker, Land Rover, is even planning to offer another version of the model, an open top one.
The company actually previewed the open top version of the car back in March 2012 when the 2012 Geneva Motor Show was actually getting attention from car enthusiasts around the globe. Back then, the car was previewed only as a concept. This time around, however, a production version of the vehicle has been spotted wearing heavy camouflage. The car has been spotted undergoing what may prove to be some final tests.
Judging by the pictures taken of the heavily camouflaged Range Rover Evoque Convertible, it is obvious enough that the vehicle is going to sport three doors altogether. In addition to that, it will also come with a soft top that owners of the vehicle can either put up or down as they wish.
The rear fascia of the vehicle has also received some minor modifications, it seems. It now comes with a rear spoiler lip. Yet, apart from that, nothing else seems to have changed at the back end of the car. One question remains here, though, which is, where the vehicle is going to keep its soft top when its owners decide to put the top down. If the car is going to follow in the footstep of the concept previewed some two years ago, then the top will hopefully get into the trunk of the vehicle so as not to ruin its tidy look.
The British automaker, Land Rover, will reportedly start receiving orders for its open top Range Rover Evoque model in the year 2016. That said, it may well go head to head with the Murano CrossCabriolet from Nissan, an automaker from Japan.
